There were fathers among the prophets in old times but

Jesus is the Everlasting Father

There were angels in the heavenly but

Jesus is the Angel of the Lord

There was Moses as a servant in the house of God but

Jesus is the builder of His house

There were promises of entering into resting land but

Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath

There were high priests offering sacrifices to God but

Jesus is the High Priest like unto Melchizedek

There were dead works derived from Law but

Jesus is the New Covenant giver

There were kings in times past but

Jesus is the King of Salem, bringer of righteousness

There were old services from the old tabernacle but

Jesus is the new tabernacle erected by God

There were blood of animals that cannot wash away sins but

Jesus is the Lamb with His efficacious blood cleanses the guilt

There were sacrifices shadowing the good things to come but

Jesus is the once and for all sacrifice that satisfies

There were men and women of faith but

Jesus is the only hero in all of redemptive history

There was Mount Sinai that signified the awe of God but

Jesus is the Mount Zion who takes away the sinful fear

There were religions in the world attempted to appease God but

Jesus is the exemplar of all to offer God-pleasing sacrifices 

Jesus, the Christ, the Son of God

Descended from heaven

Became one of us

So that through Him

We might share in His divinity

Through His voluntary humiliation

We might be exalted to sit with God

Jesus is the author and finisher

Of our race of faith

The only road to heaven

The only reconciliation between God and men
