It is the good pleasure of the Father

To give us the kingdom

And if kingdom

Then all sorts of heavenly blessings

To acquire them, obedience

Look unto Jesus

Author and finisher of our faith

His active and passive obedience

Active, abiding in good works

Passive, enduring in sufferings

We can learn much from His prime example

Laboured to carry out good works

Laboured to serve the people of God

Laboured to minister to the people in need

And when the unthinkable came

He patiently endured the trials

Grumbled not

Complained not

But offering thanks to God our Father

Even in times of afflictions

For this is well-pleasing in the sight of God

When His people are lamb-like

They are God-like

Glory be unto God and our Lord Jesus Christ
