It is not enough that we have pure motives

When carrying out good deeds

Especially in preaching or teaching

Quality matters

It is useless if the content is unsatisfactory

Therefore, not every sermon edifies

And if not edifying, not gaining heavenly treasures

What are the standards?

Forceful heralding

Careful exegeting

Missing either one of these elements

Sermons will become another secular speech

But if both elements are there

Sermons are no ordinary speech

They contain power of the living God to convict

Glory be unto God and our Lord Jesus Christ
